FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

EXTENDED STAYS

My minimum stay is generally 7 days. I usually sit for periods from two weeks to one month.  If you have an extended vacation, business trip, sabbatical, or deployment coming up, I am willing to sit long-term.  The longer the stay, the more notice I'll need to put you on my calendar.  Some clients book a year out if they have dates set for certain predictable events.

BOOKING THE CAT SITTER

IT IS ADVISED TO CALL AHEAD, prior to booking travel, to be sure I am available to help you.  If I am already booked, send me a request anyway, in case a cancellation occurs.  Cat sitters who stay over are hard to find. I do email updates on availability!

First, we make an appointment so I can come to meet you and your cats, and to pick up your key. I will ask you to complete an information sheet that I will need while you are away.  When I come to pet-sit, I normally arrive just after you leave; and, because most clients like to come home from vacation and not be bothered, I leave shortly before you return home.  This also helps prevent transmission of upper respiratory illness. Payment by cash or check should be left for me when I arrive.  I also accept PayPal and Venmo.

LOCATIONS

The Cat Sitter is available to cat-sit all over the Seattle/Eastside area.  Bellevue, Mercer Island, Redmond, Kirkland, Bothell, Shoreline, Edmonds, Ballard, Queen Anne, etc... as far north as Mill Creek; and south to West Seattle. If you live outside the Greater Seattle Metro Area, please contact me to check availability and rates, which are subject to change.  I am willing to travel to Oregon, especially Portland, Eugene, and the Coast - because that is where I am from!
